Fall Bullet Journal Bucket List

Autumn officially started this week, so I decided to share my fall bucket list. One of the things I have enjoyed most about my bullet journal is doing these wish lists. I have only done them for seasons so far, but I’m going to start doing them for holidays and any other excuse I can find. When I write the list, I get to think about all of my favorite things.  It’s like imagining “what would your best day ever” be like, only you actually get to do them! It helps me remember the small things that I sometimes take for granted.Fall bullet Journal bucket list pintrest

I was taught that I need to sharpen the saw.  Sharpening the saw means you schedule time in your day to work on self. Sometimes, that means working out, meditation, or prayer. Sometimes it means reading, or writing in your journal. For me, I need to write down those little things.  It helps me to remember to take time out to sit quietly, or go to do something that only happens during a certain time of year.

Fall is my favorite season.  I don’t mind the damp from the rain we usually get in Pennsylvania this time of year. I hate being sticky in the summer; it’s just too hot. The fall has a huge range of temperatures, but my favorite days reach between 60-75.  It starts to get dark earlier. There is more time to enjoy the evening and the stars before it’s time for bed. Wearing hoodies and boots, soft cotton and flannel. Watching the marching bands on the field, the football games and tailgates, Halloween, pumpkins and dress up … these are the best parts of the autumn.

I love getting up and wanting something warm to eat or drink.  Zucchini bread is in season, cinnamon and nutmeg… and so many types of hot tea. Chai is one of my favorite blends, especially in the fall. The local tea shop, Gyrphon’s Tea, has endless possibilities. If you’ve only ever had tea out of a little pre-made packet, I strongly suggest looking up your local tea shop sometime.  It’s a great season to try something new.

Apples are my favorite fruit, and they’re tastiest in fall. I make apple cider, apple pie, baked apples, pork and apples… the list goes on. They embody the crispness of the autumn.  The hard skin, colors fading from one to another around the fruit. Sweet, crisp, cool bites that taste great with everything.

These are my favorite parts of fall. I included all of them plus some things I just feel like I haven’t done in a while on my fall bucket list.
