Xbox Games With Gold February

Microsoft has announced Xbox’s Games with Gold for February.  Each year, Microsoft gives free games each month for their Xbox One and their Xbox 360 systems to every person who purchases Xbox Live. This month, there are three titles for the Xbox One and 2 titles for the 360.

Star Wars is absolutely my favorite game out of this lot.  It is immersive, and spawned a sequel.  The downside to it being on this list is that it came out in 2008.  It’s a little dated, and there are a ton of people who have played it already.  You can get a used copy for around $5, but hopefully a free version will encourage more people to play. You get to use the Force and chop up enemies with your lightsaber while you play through a storyline linking Star Wars Episodes III and IV. It’s worth playing twice, once choosing the Jedi and once choosing the Sith. I always think I would have been been a Jedi, but playing the Sith in this game is a little more fun.

Lovers in A Dangerous Spacetime is what I’m most excited to play.  Couch co-ops are always favorites in our house.  There’s less arguing over the TV and we love playing games together.  It always seems more fun to play with someone else.  But if all your buddies are asleep, there is a computer player who will help you through.  It won a ton of awards in 2014.  It’s my most anticipated game on this list.
